Community Development Officer

The responsibilities of the Community Development Manager include business advisory services, promoting growth and investments, advising on the establishment of new businesses and locating in the municipality, and collaborating on matters related to plot, premises and financing for companies. The position promotes collaboration among companies and between companies and the municipality, and represents the municipality in cooperation networks related to their area. The manager also utilizes a broad network of business services to meet the needs of residents and companies locating to Teuva. Other duties include identifying development needs to support the municipality’s vitality, preparing and leading development projects, and seeking external funding opportunities. The role participates in senior management team activities as part of the extended management group and prepares and presents items within the authority of the municipal bodies. The role also includes acting as CEO of a municipal subsidiary that will manage office spaces. A suitable university degree is required. Experience in business development, investment promotion, corporate cooperation, and public administration is preferred. The position values initiative, development orientation, good collaboration and networking skills, and the ability to prepare and lead development projects. Successful performance requires active contact with companies and partners, independent working style, and the ability to identify the needs of different companies. Experience with vitality-related projects is valued. The position is permanent with a six-month probationary period. Before assuming duty, the successful candidate must provide a health certificate. The position has a fixed-term salary (1ASI42) of 3,300–3,400 € per month, plus seniority pay according to KVTES. The CEO salary of the company’s subsidiary will be negotiated separately. Teuva is a smoke-free workplace. Interviews are planned to be held in Teuva during week 41.
