Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a healthcare assistant for a fixed-term substitution at the Sateenkaari residential unit in Alajärvi until 31 December 2026. Sateenkaari provides 24/7 communal living and short-term care for adults with developmental disabilities. There are 13 apartments for 24/7 living, plus one apartment reserved for short-term care periods, and six apartments for communal living. Our aim is to offer residents a safe everyday life with high-quality, person-centered care, respect for individual autonomy and participation. The role includes assisting, guiding, supporting and caring for residents in their daily routines. We offer varied work where you can use your strengths. Eligibility requires a social and health care sector basic qualification (lähihoitaja) in accordance with Law 559/1994 or 817/2015, registration in the Valvira central register of social and health care professionals as a title-protected professional, a valid LOVe medication administration permit, a hygiene passport and proficiency in Finnish. Employment terms and salary are governed by the SOTE collective agreement, with a job-specific starting salary of 2704.53 EUR/month. A probationary period applies. A health certificate and a criminal background check under Act 741/2023 Section 28 must be presented before taking up the position. A drug test may be required. This is a nicotine-free workplace (HYVAEP). The role requires vaccination protection under Infectious Diseases Act 48 Section and a TB status verification under Section 55.
