Sylvia-koti yhdistys ry is a versatile social services provider for children, youth and adults with special support needs. Our operations began in 1956 and today we employ about 160 professionals in five units in the Lahti, Hollola and Orimattila regions. Our services include housing and daytime activities for adults with developmental disabilities, child protection, and Steiner pedagogy special education. In Orimattila, Tapola unit located in Niinikoski offers housing, daytime activities and activities for 50 adults with special needs. We are seeking for Tapola housing services a RESPONSIBLE SUPERVISOR for a permanent position. You will be responsible for the execution of core tasks, frontline supervisory work for staff, and ensuring self-monitoring in your housing unit. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent on supervisory leadership and the rest on duties as a housing unit supervisor. Duties include: high-quality, wellbeing-supporting supervisory work and shift planning, advocacy on residents’ behalf and collaboration with guardians, developing the guardian role and the housing unit’s operations, ensuring implementation of the internal monitoring plan in daily work, collaboration with stakeholders and participation in inspections of your housing unit, ensuring residents’ safety, health and well-being in cooperation with guardians, arranging cover for similar supervisors during vacations, maintaining patient records and quality of entries in your unit’s client information system, responsible for economical and appropriate operation in the unit, communicating decisions and matters in the unit. A minimum of two years’ experience supervising adults needing special support is preferred. The position is governed by the Private Social Services Sector Collective Agreement and salary grade G25E. Start date will be according to the contract, as soon as possible. Terms of employment follow the Private Social Services Collective Agreement. There is a six-month probation. The job requires vaccination protection under section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a criminal records check for work with elderly people.
