Kaarisillan Comprehensive School is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled resource/kietu-teacher (language- and culture-aware teaching). The fixed-term position is full-time and includes 16 teaching hours per week, with the possibility to receive additional hours from separate S2 lessons. Kaarisillan Comprehensive School is a 1.-9. grade basic school with around 450 students from over 20 language- and culture backgrounds. The school employs about 60 professionals—teachers, advisers and student welfare experts—forming a multidisciplinary and supportive work community. Our school is a communal learning environment where every student’s uniqueness and inclusion are valued. Students actively participate in planning and developing school activities together with the staff. The new building, completed in 2017, offers modern and flexible spaces that support versatile and student-centered teaching. The school is located near the city centre, in a nature-friendly site right next to Kirjurinluoto, enabling outdoor learning and physical education-based pedagogy in daily life. We are looking for growth- and participation-enablers—educational professionals who want to help build a safe, encouraging and future-oriented school. We expect from you: - Experience or strong interest in language- and culture-aware teaching (kietu) - Good collaboration and teamwork skills for co-teaching - Flexible and solution-oriented work approach The eligibility requirement is the decree on the qualifications of teaching staff 1998/986. Interviews will begin during the application period and the position will be filled as soon as a suitable applicant is found, so apply soon! The job starts on 14.9.2026 or by agreement. For a suitable teacher a civil service appointment will be made until 31.7.2027. If a suitable candidate cannot be found, the position may be filled with an unsuitable applicant and a civil service appointment will be made until 5.6.2027.
