Resource Teacher

Porin kaupungin Kaarisillan yhtenäiskoulu is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled resource teacher / kietu-teacher (language and culture aware instruction). The fixed-term position is full-time and includes 16 teaching hours per week, with the possibility to obtain additional hours from separate S2 sessions. Kaarisillan yhtenäiskoulu is a 1st–9th grade elementary school with about 450 pupils from over 20 linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The school employs about 60 professionals including teachers, counsellors and student welfare experts, forming a multidisciplinary and supportive work community. The school emphasizes pedagogical development, emotional and interaction skills, and an inclusive culture where every pupil receives the support they need. We are looking for agents of growth and inclusion who want to help build a safe, encouraging and future-oriented school. Expected from you: experience or strong interest in language- and culture-aware teaching (kietu); good collaboration and teamwork skills for co-teaching; flexible and solution-oriented work approach. The qualification requirement is set by the decree on the qualification of teaching staff 1998/986. For a suitable teacher, a government posting will be made until 31.7.2027. If a suitable candidate is not found, a non-qualified applicant may be chosen; the posting will be valid until 5.6.2027.
