Healthcare Assistant

Kankaanpään A-koti provides communal addiction rehabilitation for individuals and families in a facility setting. Clients may have substance or gambling addictions and attend rehabilitation across Finland with the support of social welfare regions' funding. In the unit there are 22 client places for individual rehabilitation and 7 family rehabilitation places. In this job you are part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on the client's holistic encounter and supporting rehabilitation. Our clients are mostly physically capable and mobile. The Lähihoitaja role at Kankaanpään A-koti includes: facilitating groups related to addiction and recovery; participating in community rehabilitation routines and strengthening clients’ everyday skills; individual work with clients; administering medication. To suitability for the role you need, in addition to appropriate education, an interest in people-focused work, good interaction and engagement skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, a respectful recovery-oriented approach to clients, and the ability to work with both individual and family clients. You should also have valid medication licenses and either a Social and Health Card (Sote-kortti) or the willingness to obtain one. A driving license is required. We currently have a fixed-term Lähihoitaja position for 1 Sept 2026 – 31 Dec 2026, or start earlier by agreement. The position will be filled as soon as a suitable applicant is found. The job involves 3-shift work. Salary is according to the Private Social Services sector (SOSTES) pay scale G24, with a basic pay between €2,762.58 and €3,016.00 per month depending on your work experience.
