General Practitioner

We are currently hiring a general practitioner for student health services in Vaasa, full-time permanent position (38 h 15 min/week) with a start date around 30 September 2026 or per agreement. The role can also be part-time upon request. Work is hybrid, combining face-to-face and remote consultations. You will work with a diverse set of health concerns typical for young adults, with emphasis on mental health, dermatology, musculoskeletal complaints, infections, and sexual health. Students are directed to the clinic through needs assessment. We use BeeHealth digital platform, and includes tele-consultations and chat consultations. We offer a thorough orientation, collegial and supervisory support, good consultation opportunities, training to develop your skills, and the possibility to influence your job description. Salary and terms follow the agreement between YTHS and the Finnish Medical Association. The task-based salary range is: general practitioners 6668–7348 €/month; specialists 7410–8167 €/month. Monthly pay may include a personal salary component (6–24%). Certificates and reports are paid separately according to the collective agreement TES. We provide comprehensive occupational health services and ePassi – wellbeing benefits. YTHS allows 6 months of specialization training in general medicine (YEK). We expect MD degree or specialist medical qualification and a licensed entitlement to practice as a health care professional. We also value good interpersonal skills and proficiency in Finnish; English and Swedish skills are advantageous.
