Group Manager

We are seeking a Group Manager for Koivisto n Auto Oy’s Rovaniemi unit. The unit operates local transport in Rovaniemi and long-distance transport in Northern Finland under the OnniBus brand. The unit employs about 50 drivers, overseen by two group managers. The traffic manager, based primarily in Oulu, is the direct superior of the group managers. The position is a full-time, permanent contract. The Group Manager’s responsibilities include supervising drivers as frontline managers and directing daily operations, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient transport every day. The role emphasizes personnel leadership and requires leading all drivers in a fair and respectful way, listening to and valuing staff. You will collaborate closely with drivers, staff representatives, other staff (your own supervisor, shift planner, etc.), and workshop mechanics. To succeed in the role you need: excellent people management and interpersonal skills; proven track record in frontline supervision; experience as a frontline supervisor in operational service production; ability and willingness to work independently and take responsibility; ability to deliver results; a positive, solution-oriented attitude; strong digital skills (MS products, reporting tools, production planning systems); fluent Finnish and English both spoken and written. Nice to have: experience in coach bus operations; bachelor’s degree. You don’t need decades of supervisory experience or bus transport experience to apply.
