Nurse

We are seeking a licensed nurse for a permanent position in the stabilizing care ward at Ohkolan Hospital. The role involves three-shift work with a variety of psychiatric and forensic-psychiatric care tasks, with emphasis on long-term care relationships. We value strong psychiatric nursing expertise and experience in caring for patients with psychosis. The job requires good teamwork and communication skills, good physical and mental health, a proactive attitude and an active work approach. We also provide site-specific training in forensic psychiatry in Ohkola, for example through monthly lectures. Ohkola Hospital operates six closed intensive and forensic psychiatry wards, a housing support ward and an activity-based rehabilitation unit. We treat patients with psychosis and forensic psychiatric conditions; we perform violence risk assessments and court-ordered mental state evaluations. Some wards focus on care for acutely symptomatic patients and stabilization; others emphasize enhanced rehabilitation. By the end of 2026 we will have new facilities designed for forensic psychiatry. The job starts on 26 October 2026 or by agreement. A 6-month probation period applies. The salary starts at 3218.18 EUR and may include experience and other allowances.
