ICT Manager

We are looking for an ICT Manager / ICT Project Manager to lead project-based development initiatives and the continuous development and maintenance of IT infrastructure in a naval shipyard setting. The role sits in Davie Finland’s ICT team and involves coordinating internal IT projects, developing digital services and infrastructure across Helsinki and Pori, and serving as the key link between business, ICT organization and external suppliers. The position reports to the ICT Director and works in a close-knit ten-person team of ICT professionals, business stakeholders, key users and external providers. You will combine project management, technical understanding and business needs into workable solutions, influence today’s IT environment and shape the future ICT landscape of our shipyards. Core responsibilities include coordinating internal IT projects and development initiatives, IT infrastructure design, ongoing maintenance and optimization, vendor management and contract negotiations, building IT roadmaps with business stakeholders, ensuring continuity, availability and security in a demanding shipyard environment, contributing to ICT strategy and enterprise architecture, maintaining IT processes and documentation, and collaborating with partners to deliver results. The role emphasizes viewing the ICT environment holistically and identifying development needs to support long-term business goals. We welcome applicants with experience in IT project leadership and coordination, strong project management skills and ability to drive multiple efforts forward, solid understanding of IT infrastructure, server environments, networks, cloud services and security, process-oriented and systematic working style, knowledge of data governance, automation and the use of AI, experience in supplier collaboration, contract management and procurement, a suitable higher education degree (e.g., in information technology or computer science) or equivalent work experience, and fluency in Finnish and English (spoken and written). Experience from industrial, production or shipyard environments is a plus. The role suits someone who can operate with strong operational capabilities and practical understanding of ICT environments, and who can drive projects forward with partners. The position does not require extensive hands-on technical work, but you should understand technical solutions well enough to assess supplier offerings for shipyard needs.
