Lempäälän kunta seeks a professional for permanent employment in the field of spatial data and land use tasks for the urban planning service area, in the parcel and surveying services. The job title will be defined based on the selected person’s skills and experience (e.g., spatial data processor, land-use assistant or spatial data expert). The parcels and surveying service area is responsible for municipal land acquisitions and parcel dispositions, geographic information systems, address matters, and field surveys. In Lempäälä, a variety of projects are underway; the workplace is the Lempäälä House next to the railway station. In this role you will be central to municipal land ownership management and maintenance of spatial data, combining GIS work, records management, and administrative decision preparation. Your duties include maintaining and updating spatial data related to municipal land ownership (ArcGIS Pro); receiving, processing and archiving land transfer notices and preparing decisions related to pre-emptive rights; maintaining information related to land ownership and its monitoring (Facta); handling documents related to land purchases, sales and leases; creating thematic and attachment maps to support decisions; and collaborating with financial administration, planning, infrastructure, and other municipal departments. We expect relevant education or experience in GIS, surveying, land use or real estate; experience with GIS systems (ArcGIS preferred); a careful, organized and proactive work style; good teamwork and communication skills. Desirable: understanding of real estate purchase and leasing processes; experience with case management and electronic archiving systems; experience from the public sector.
