We are seeking a sheet metal machining center and laser programmer for our client to strengthen the production team in Vaasa. In this role you will work with a variety of steel sheet components and have a direct impact on production efficiency, material utilization and delivery reliability. As a sheet metal machining center and laser programmer you will be responsible for ensuring that programming of punching centers and laser-cutting machines is timely and aligned with production needs. Your tasks include reading CAD drawings and technical drawings and preparing NC programs for laser cutting and punching centers. You will design parts layout on the material sheet to minimize waste as much as possible. You will also determine cutting sequences, required tools and machine settings and participate in process optimization. We expect prior experience with punching centers and/or laser cutting machines programming and good ability to read technical drawings. The role requires meticulous and systematic work habits and the ability to understand production overall. CAD drawing and technical drawing reading, and NC programming understanding are required. The position is permanent with the potential to move directly into our client’s books in the future.
