Estimating Engineer (Machine Shop Industry)

Would you like to combine technical expertise, cost estimation and practical problem-solving? Kaskea Group is looking for an estimating engineer to support its growing machine shop business! Role description As an estimating engineer, you will be responsible especially for estimating in Kaskea's Machinery business, preparing and maintaining product structures, and customer communications. You will work closely with sales, production and procurement to ensure that quotations are based on reliable cost and manufacturing information. In practice, your days will include reviewing customers' requests for quotations and technical drawings, calculating material and manufacturing costs, and finding out any additional information needed. You will prepare product structures and operation details in the ERP system and communicate with customers by phone and email. You will also have the opportunity to develop estimating tools and processes, for example by making use of automation and AI. What kind of professional are we looking for? This role is suitable for you if you want to develop your expertise in estimating and technical specialist work in the machine shop industry. You already have a practical understanding of manufacturing, but previous experience specifically in estimating is not necessarily required. You are proactive and precise in your work and enjoy working with customers and production professionals. You take initiative independently and want to improve shared ways of working too.
