As a Personal Assistant, you will be part of our clients’ valuable stories. We are seeking a Personal Assistant for Vaasa to support the client’s everyday life. The role includes regular shopping assistance on Mondays from 13:00 to 15:30 and Thursdays from around 13:00 (usually about 2 hours). There may also be occasional shifts, for example Sundays, for outdoor activities. The client values strong Finnish language skills, and prior experience in assisting or care work is considered advantageous. The client would prefer a female assistant whose collaboration best matches the client’s individual needs. We do not require professional training or prior experience, but those are welcomed. At Validia, Personal Assistants serve clients within the scope of disability services. Personal assistance can take place at home or outside the home, helping with tasks that the person themselves cannot manage due to illness or disability. It can include support in hobbies or studies, household chores, or enabling leisure activities. Sometimes the most important task of the assistant is to be a conversation partner and companion: a relaxed person for the person. The role is meaningful because the aim is to enable living at home as long as possible and provide opportunities for active and meaningful everyday life while respecting the client’s autonomy.
