We are seeking a Shift Supervisor for our client in the clean energy technology plant to oversee daily operations and lead the operating team. In this role you will be central to ensuring safe and efficient plant operation while participating in hands-on operational work as part of the team. You will be responsible for the daily leadership of the operations team and coordinating tasks according to production and testing schedules. You will work closely with operators, maintenance, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation and achievement of targets. Safety is a core part of the role. You will oversee compliance with permit to work and LOTO procedures, participate in risk assessment and ensure that work complies with safety and environmental requirements. Additionally you will supervise maintenance and contracting work and manage fault reports appropriately. You will also contribute to developing plant operating practices and documentation. Your work includes maintaining manuals, supporting test planning and creating best practices to continuously develop plant operation. What we expect from you: a suitable technical education (e.g. electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering); solid experience in operating industrial plants; prior supervision or team leadership experience; good understanding of safety and environmental requirements; experience with Permit to Work and LOTO procedures; knowledge of process control systems (DCS); experience with maintenance systems (CMMS); willingness to work mainly day shifts with occasional evenings and weekends; fluent Finnish and English. Experience in the chemical, process or energy production industries is considered an asset. Details: the worksite is in the Lovisa area and the job mainly requires on-site presence at the production facility. Remote work is not practical for this role. This is a fixed-term position for 10/2026-12/2027. The employment contract is with Barona Teollisuus Oy. The selected person will undergo security clearance as part of the recruitment process. Requirements
- A suitable technical education (e.g. electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering)
- Extensive experience in operating industrial plants
- Previous experience in supervisor or team leadership roles
- Good understanding of occupational safety and environmental requirements
- Experience with Permit to Work and LOTO procedures
- Process control systems (DCS) knowledge
- Experience with maintenance systems (CMMS)
- Willingness to work mainly day shifts with occasional evening and weekend work
- Fluent Finnish and English
