Technical Buyer

We are seeking a motivated and action-oriented professional to manage purchasing and procurement tasks, as well as supplier relationships and the supply chain for our organization. You will join a six-person supply chain team and your job title could be buyer, technical buyer, procurement specialist or equivalent. Your main stakeholders are our subcontractors and component suppliers, and internally you will coordinate efficiently across functions with production, production planning, sales, quality and design. You will ensure on-time availability, quality and total cost for agreed suppliers’ components and assemblies. You will develop supplier collaboration, handle complaints, and report on your area of responsibility. The role’s results are measured in euros and by the realization of the production plan. Your daily tasks include: placing and monitoring purchase orders; collaborating with production and production control; participating in supplier bids for your categories; developing and optimizing material flows end-to-end; discussing production and production control to ensure the production plan; maintaining close contact with production supervision and the quality engineer regarding complaints; monitoring supplier quality processes. Ideally you have several years of operational procurement experience, possibly gained exposure to international operations, and an understanding of industrial order-to-delivery processes. Experience in manufacturing industry and knowledge of line assembly are advantageous. Our company follows ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110 standards. A technical or logistics education provides a good foundation, but above all you should enjoy challenges and be ready to join our transformation as we grow toward a world-class lifecycle partner. The role is placed at expert level and is an operative buyer position. We expect you to have prior purchasing experience and to take the next step toward an international procurement professional career. In the future you may grow into senior specialist or, as the organization expands, into sourcing manager-type roles.
