Business Oulu -liikelaitos seeks RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST in permanent position starting 1 Oct 2026. The role sits in the Pestti unit within BusinessOulu, a recruitment team covering multiple sectors. Pestti provides employer services to regional companies and supports them in finding skilled labor and solving recruitment challenges. Our aim is to be a trusted partner for companies to ensure labor availability and to facilitate the matching of job seekers and employers. You will work as part of a 15-person Pestti unit that delivers employer services in a networked fashion with BusinessOulu units and stakeholders. Your future team consists of skilled professionals who value high-quality customer service, job satisfaction, and a good team spirit. Work takes place at our Sepänkatu office, at client sites, and partly remotely. We seek a recruitment specialist in our Pestti unit whose main area is ICT & health technology sectors. You will work in a pair-work model and, if needed, also handle other sectors’ client relationships. You are part of the Pestti recruitment team composed of specialists from different sectors. Your duties include close collaboration with local companies to map recruitment and competence needs and build customer-specific service solutions to identify suitable talents. You will operate with responsibility and be able to provide statutory employment mediation services flexibly. Tasks are varied and adapted to client and network needs. You will deliver customer-oriented and high-quality recruitment services: actively contact clients and respond to their inquiries in line with our service promise; visit companies and meet representatives at various events; contribute to the up-to-date labor market information production and reporting in collaboration with BusinessOulu experts from other units. You should be prepared to present our services and participate in stakeholder events. You will be able to network and operate across the entire Oulu labour market area. You are responsible for the progression and follow-up of the client’s recruitment process independently, with strong team support. You will collaborate with BusinessOulu experts to locate open vacancies and reach suitable applicants. Who is this for? Success in the role requires good communication and customer service skills, organizational ability, and the ability to work on multiple tasks. Knowledge of the local labour market and the business environment supports success. A suitable higher education degree is required. Proactive networking, carefulness and ability to operate in a changing environment are essential. In addition to Finnish, English can be used when needed. Experience in recruitment tasks, working with companies, knowledge of local business networks, sector expertise, and knowledge of labor market legislation are advantageous.
