About the role

Using robotic 3D printing technology and low-carbon upcycled materials we are rethinking the way construction elements are designed and built. We collaborate with leading clients in the construction, industrial and infrastructure sectors and we are backed by some of the top investors in Europe. Hyperion Robotics is seeking a Production Technician to support concrete casting and robotic 3D printing operations in Espoo, Finland. The role involves supporting the entire production workflow, from preparation and quality checks to robotic printing, casting, finishing, and inspection. Candidates should have practical experience in concrete, construction, manufacturing, or machinery operation, with a motivation to develop skills in robotic production. Responsibilities include operating industrial robots, preparing materials, supporting concrete delivery, monitoring robot and product quality, and performing basic troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will follow drawings, SOPs, and safety protocols, communicate effectively in English, and be proactive and adaptable. No prior experience with concrete 3D printing is required as training will be provided. Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring industrial robots, pumps, controls, and production software
  • Completing equipment, safety, start-up, and shutdown checks
  • Preparing materials, inserts, reinforcement, formwork, tools, hoses, and testing equipment
  • Supporting concrete delivery, slump-flow testing, specimen preparation, printing, and casting
  • Monitoring robot movement, material flow, bead width, pressure, and product quality
  • Placing inserts and reinforcement according to drawings and instructions
  • Identifying and reporting defects, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions
  • Finishing and repairing concrete products to the required standard
  • Completing quality checklists, measurements, and production records
  • Carrying out basic troubleshooting, cleaning, and operator-level maintenance
  • Communicating closely with the production team during live printing and casting
  • Rotating between production roles depending on operational needs

Requirements

  • Practical experience in concrete, construction, manufacturing, or machinery operation
  • Confidence using production tools and measuring equipment
  • Ability to follow drawings, SOPs, checklists, and instructions
  • Basic troubleshooting and quality-control skills
  • Strong safety mindset and willingness to stop unsafe work
  • Clear English communication and teamwork skills
  • Responsible, proactive, adaptable, motivated to learn robotic 3D printing
