About the role

We are seeking the Laajavuoren day care centre, part of Jokiuoman operations unit, for a motivated and professional Early Childhood Education Social Work Developer (sosionomi) to support the unit’s community spirit, children's well-being, participation and a safe learning environment. The role emphasizes anti-bullying work, supporting children's emotional and peer skills, parents' involvement and development. You will participate in multi-professional teamwork and, when necessary, guide families to other child and family services. Key areas include implementing early childhood education, contributing to unit planning, implementation and evaluation; wellbeing work focusing on social and peer skills, early identification of needs related to wellbeing, growth and development; interaction and collaboration with families and guardians, as well as professional communication within teams; evaluation and development of unit operations from a social pedagogical perspective, and ensuring practices that support participation and wellbeing in cooperation with staff. What we expect from you: knowledge of the early childhood education plan and the Early Childhood Education Act, teamwork skills, ability to support children’s social and peer skills and parenting strengths and challenges, experience with early childhood education methods related to wellbeing, growth and development, an autonomous and developmental work approach, ability to promote communality, participation and equality, excellent written and spoken Finnish.
