Job Description

We are looking for an active, organized, and participative restaurant manager to lead two venues in Sodankylä, in the heart of Lapland! The venues include Hotel Karhu and the renovated Hotel Sodankylä. There are 2 breakfast restaurants, a buffet/carte restaurant, event spaces, a terrace, and meeting rooms that can be arranged in our Almessa (Spa & Wellness 4th floor). The current restaurant manager is not leaving immediately; support and onboarding will be provided. However, life is about more than just constant responsibility. The manager describes their current situation as: "Best before date approaching. Space is being cleared for the next. We are not in a rush but act timely and will fill the position when the overall setup meets expectations." During winter, we offer impressive and tasty buffet meals and catering menus, and at other times, food with love in the Carte restaurant. Our bars can host karaoke, animated performances, or solo comedians, dance learners, thirsty drinkers, and life celebrants. We can quickly adapt the decor to different themes, and customer wishes are listened to with an open heart to ensure successful events. Our customers include international Lapland travelers, hotel guests, and local visitors. By the way, did you know that **Sodankylä is not for everyone, but for some, everything?** An energetic, fit, resourceful, and team-oriented restaurant manager will plan and lead their team by example, managing restaurant operations and also working hands-on with the team. Peerâ's agreed menus and procurement agreements support the restaurant manager's development work. You are familiar with industry calculations, proficient in Excel, organized, multitask well, and ready to step into new challenges with an open mind. Our restaurant spaces aim to bring customers into a state of euphoria, and every day on this stage is a matter of pride. The entire staff works with an uncompromising Peerâ Perkele attitude to achieve goals. We do not leave tasks unfinished, do not betray colleagues, and personal life management ensures steady progress for everyone. Smiles are natural; customer service is a matter of pride for us. Collegial support and exchange of ideas are available within the family, even in busy times. Are you making noise? Sell yourself to us. Why would YOU be a great addition to our wonderful family? Send your application, including **a separate CV, a motivation letter, and at least 2 references with contact details.** The application will be handled by hotel manager Raili Karvonen-Willman. Contact via email: raili.karvonen-willman@peerahotels.fi. We have received the Great Place to Work certification for the third consecutive time. This is not Finland's Worst Workplace but one of the best in the tourism industry. Come contribute to our next certification! We aim to operate personally, value long-term and sustainable partnerships, and seek joint solutions. We respect all parties and act responsibly, as a family should. We are a growth-oriented chain.
