The Impact You'll Make Join Danfoss Drives and help ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of the next generation of power conversion technologies. As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in validating our AC drives, inverters, AFE units, grid converters, and DC-DC converters before they reach customers around the world. This position is centered on product testing and verification in a laboratory environment. You will work hands-on with prototypes and new product releases, generating the data and insights that support product development and continuous improvement. Working alongside experienced engineers in our world-class laboratories in Vaasa, you will contribute directly to bringing innovative and energy-efficient technologies to market while developing your own expertise in power electronics testing. What You’ll Be Doing Perform R&D, prototype, type, and approval testing throughout the product development lifecycle to validate product performance, quality, and reliability Prepare and configure drives for testing, including assembly, software installation, parameter setup, and test environment preparation Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, data loggers, power analyzers, and acoustic measurement tools to measure and evaluate product behavior Analyze test results and collaborate closely with development engineers and fellow test engineers to identify improvements and resolve technical issues Contribute as an active member of an Agile Scrum team, supporting the development of innovative power conversion products What We're Looking For BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering with an electrical focus Knowledge of electrical safety principles and safe laboratory working practices Knowledge of electrical measuring devices and laboratory tools (e.g., oscilloscope, soldering tools, drive drills, etc.) - experience working in a testing laboratory environment is an advantage Basic understanding of how to read electrical schematics and circuit diagrams A hands-on, curious approach with a strong willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in product testing Very good communication skills in English and at least a good understanding of Finnish What You'll Get from Us We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
