We are looking for a social worker to Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialue, initially placed in child and family welfare work in Pietarsaari. In child and family welfare, we support children, youths and their families in various life situations. As a social worker you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for urgent assessments, service need assessments, handling child- and family welfare client processes, and implementing planned social work. The role includes urgent assessments, carrying out service needs assessments, managing client processes in child and family welfare, working with children, youths and families to strengthen their well-being. The job emphasizes client-centered approach, early support and cooperation with authorities and networks. The focus of work is defined by need. Responsibilities include urgent assessments, service needs assessments, handling client processes in child- and family welfare, planning work with children, youths and families, collaboration with various authorities and partners, and client work documentation. Qualifications include a suitable higher university degree with main studies in social work, or equivalent university-level studies in social work; licensed social worker under Finnish Social Welfare Professionals Act. Proficiency in both national languages (Finnish and Swedish) is required. The selected must provide a medical certificate and a criminal record extract before taking up the post. Trial period applies.
