Kitchen Manager

ISS’s Cleaning and Multiservices unit provides customers across Finland with cleaning, food service and multiservice solutions that combine cleanliness, health, comfort and safety. We are continually looking for energetic new professionals who understand the importance of their work. We are now looking for a KITCHEN MANAGER to join our team in HARJAVALTA! As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for the operations and development of our customer’s restaurant and for leading its staff. You will act as the customer’s contact person and deliver an excellent customer experience through your daily work. This is a varied role, and you will be responsible for developing representative and lunch catering. Managing food waste and financial results are important parts of the role. You will also get to plan and deliver different events for customers. You take genuine interest and pride in being part of a restaurant team where everyone is highly skilled and committed to producing the best food and service. Working hours are mainly on weekdays between 8:00 and 17:00, but we hope you will be flexible. Our services occasionally include evening and weekend shifts. The position starts as agreed, as soon as possible. This is a new restaurant opening in January 2027, and as Kitchen Manager you will play an important role in launching its operations. Please note that harmful substances are handled in the area and there is exposure to nickel. We expect you to have: - Suitable education in restaurant and catering, as well as previous experience working in a similar environment. - Strong communication and interaction skills, and the ability to work closely with the customer, your own team and the users of the customer site. - Strong expertise in the restaurant industry and experience in supervisory work. Previous experience in a similar role with financial responsibility is an advantage. - A hygiene passport. - An occupational safety card is an advantage, but training can be arranged after employment begins. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work under pressure, including in changing situations. You have extensive experience in comparable restaurant-industry and supervisory roles, as well as suitable education for supervisory work. You have excellent organisational and customer service skills and can lead the entire team by example to exceed the expectations of both the team and the customer every day. You understand how financial results are formed and have up-to-date IT skills. The role requires fluent spoken and written Finnish and customer-service-level English.
