Child day care worker

We are inviting you to join us in a versatile role as a child day care worker and floating substitute in Espoon city’s early childhood education. As a floating substitute you are a welcome substitute for Lippajärvi, Aurora and Heiniemi daycares, but also other Viherlähteen small-area daycares. You will be part of our high-quality staff, a familiar and skilled substitute for the children. Your work team may change weekly or daily, and working hours are generally from 08:21 to 16:00. Units will orient you to the needs of their own groups. You will always have your supervisor and the support of the unit’s own staff. You may also be a career changer; we train all our employees for their tasks. The job place name and address: Aurora daycare, Lippajärventie 44, 02940 ESPOO/Viherlähteen small-area daycares. Working time: 38 h 15 min/week. The job is fixed-term with start date by agreement – 30.05.2027. All applications received during the application period will be considered. Eligibility: According to the Day Care Act (540/2018, §28 and Decree 753/2018 §§3 and 4). A suitable qualification includes a basic degree in early childhood education and guidance or a social and health care basic degree or other equivalent qualification that includes extensive studies in child care, upbringing and education (e.g., childminder, day care worker, or assistant nurse in a child and youth care program). We require fluent Finnish language skills. The successful candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by law. Tuberculosis exposure risk must be assessed for those working with under school-age children.
