The position is for a Finnish municipality's YES day care center, in a multidisciplinary, developmental work environment. The early childhood social worker will participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team in planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical activities, and will be responsible for family cooperation and supporting children’s well-being, inclusion, and community engagement. The tasks include monitoring child well-being, guiding children, families, and guardians, and developing services and new practices to promote well-being and sense of community. The role is located at YES Day Care, a bilingual (English and Finnish) facility in Hagelstamintie, Pakka, Vantaa. The center has 8 groups, 2 of which are preparatory classes, and the social worker role sits with the age group 3–5 years. We expect a positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach, attentive listening to the child, and sensitivity to the individual as well as the group in everyday situations. We offer training opportunities, a supportive multi-professional network, and a culture of collaboration. Salary: 3113–3218 EUR/month plus experience-based allowances (3–8%). The terms follow the municipal collective agreement (KVTES). The job is full-time with a 38 h 15 min work week, daytime work. Employment type: permanent. Requirements
- Bachelor-level social work education or equivalent in early childhood education (varhaiskasvatuksen sosionomi kelpoisuus)
- Proficient Finnish and English language skills (spoken and written)
- Experience in multicultural work environments is a plus
