Production Support Technician

Production Support Technician - Electronics role in the Andor Technology/ Oxford Instruments group. The role is based in Belfast and involves first-line troubleshooting and repair of complex hardware faults on both new and returned products (RMA). You will diagnose issues, liaise with engineering and other support functions, and support the production and RMA teams. Key responsibilities include fault finding and repair of hardware, optimisation of assembled systems, accurate recording of assembly, test and repair data, adherence to production processes and quality control, meeting production targets, involvement in New Product Introduction with Engineering, signing off Non-Warranty NCPS, cost estimation for non-warranty repairs, and training new team members. The role requires a HNC/HND level (or equivalent) with at least 3 years relevant experience in a high-tech production environment, plus 3 years experience with electronic and/or opto-mechanical products, good soldering skills, manual dexterity for small components, and proficiency with instruments like DMM and oscilloscope. The position is permanent, onsite, at Belfast headquarters with potential for other roles in Operations.
