Educational Guidance Assistant

The position is a temporary substitute for an Educational Guidance Assistant in Kontiolahti municipality's basic education, Lehmo School, starting 15 September 2026 or by agreement, ending 31 December 2027. The role involves being accessible to pupils during school hours and working as part of the school’s welfare team, focusing on pupils in grades 1–6. Duties include supporting pupils’ self-image, school motivation, active lifestyle, and emotional and social skills development. You will collaborate with teachers, student welfare staff, families, and partners. The requirements include a suitable higher education degree or lower university of applied sciences degree or other relevant training and work experience. The job requires initiative, problem-solving and resilience, good interpersonal skills, and ability to guide individuals and groups. Some evening work may be required and occasional driving may be needed. We value further education in the field and interest in developing pupil-inclusive culture. Salary is in accordance with the local collective agreement (KVTES), base salary 2,653.06 €/month, 38.25 h/week. The position is open electronically until 24 August 2026 at 15:00.
