Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a heavy machinery mechanic for a permanent position at Suomen Rakennuskone Oy, based at the Vantaa site. The role involves maintenance, repair, diagnostics and outfitting of heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment. Responsibilities include performing maintenance, repairs and outfitting on heavy equipment and earthmoving machines; diagnosing faults and solving challenging technical issues; servicing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems; providing technical support to other mechanics; ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality work. Work will take place at the Vantaa workshop as well as on customer sites, creating varied and dynamic days. A tight-knit team collaborates with experienced professionals; the site facilities are being upgraded for greater comfort. We expect you to have relevant technical training (e.g., heavy equipment, machinery or vehicle technician), solid experience with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment or similar fleets, strong technical know-how and problem-solving ability, experience with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems, autonomy, initiative and a solution-oriented attitude, ability to guide and support team members, good communication and customer-oriented approach, good Finnish language skills and ability to utilise English-language manufacturer documentation, and driver’s license B (C license is an asset).
