About the role

We are looking for an early childhood education teacher for Keimolanmäen Daycare in Vantaa. The daycare operates with a home-area model and six home areas in total. Each home area hosts two children groups and has its own facilities. The daycare’s well-equipped spaces enable strong small-group activities in accordance with the early childhood education curriculum. We participate in the ProVaka operating model, which is based on guiding behavior with positive feedback. In the model, adults act as role models for the children and the operating culture supports inclusive early childhood education and a consistent approach to guidance that values social skills. Keimolanmäen school sits in the same courtyard; we collaborate daily and share common spaces: the cafeteria, gym, and yard. What we offer: collaboration with top professionals; thorough orientation and the possibility to participate in a mentorship program. Our team’s wide range of early childhood education specialists support you on matters related to child support and work in groups according to their schedules. Your colleagues support you in daily work; together we are stronger. We offer a positive and relaxed work environment where we work with heart and professionalism. You’ll have the chance to help develop our operating culture and, if you wish, share your own expertise with others. Primary working hours for teachers are typically 7:50–16:09. In addition, the work-time arrangement includes one full sak-day and a weekly sak-time together for all teachers. What we expect from you: Interest in working positively with a group of preschoolers (ProVaka). Our community embraces many languages and cultures, inclusion, belonging, positive pedagogy, activity, movement and play. We expect enthusiasm and competence in pedagogical play and using pictures to support communication. Leadership of your own team and work: supporting your team’s functioning, children’s growth and well-being. Positive, development-oriented and solution-focused approach in teamwork and workplace. If you are interested, please apply and tell us more about yourself. We will begin interviews during the application period and can make a selection as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Students about to graduate are also considered. If a suitable candidate is not found, the position may be filled temporarily by an ineligible applicant. Why choose Vantaa?
