About the role

This vacancy is for a permanent Early Childhood Teacher at Ylästö Daycare, part of the Vantaa city education and learning unit. The role involves teaching in the pre-kindergarten group, collaborating with an apprentice staff team including a childminder and an assistant. The daycare is a six-group facility near Ylästö school with ample space and nearby parks and river valley nature. We emphasise social skills, inclusion, child participation, and sensitive interactions with families. The unit operates with a co-leadership model, sharing leadership between another day care leader for staff and another for pedagogy. The work community aims to foster a inclusive and motivating atmosphere where everyone can contribute. Applicants are invited to apply and we will provide details upon contact. The city promotes equality and invites applicants from diverse backgrounds. We offer mentoring groups, training opportunities, a safe environment, opportunities to influence via management groups, and various staff benefits including sports, culture, and meal benefits, public transport, and housing support for movers from other municipalities. The position is full-time with a six-month probationary period. Salary is paid according to the Municipal Education Personnel collective agreement, with additions for relevant qualifications and experience. Risk assessments and background checks are required. Applications are submitted through the city’s recruitment system. Recruitment may include video interviews.
