Official Veterinarian

Salon City Environmental Health Service seeks a permanent Surveillance Veterinarian to join a unit that includes two surveillance veterinarians, four city veterinarians in practice, a sanitary veterinarian, six public health inspectors, an environmental health manager and an office clerk. The unit belongs to the Environmental Health and Building Control service area. The position is located at Halikko Office. The Surveillance Veterinarian is responsible for animal health and welfare surveillance, surveillance of animal by-products, and surveillance related to intra-EU trade, export and import of live animals and other animal products and foods. In disease outbreaks, the veterinarian acts as on-call veterinarian. Most duties relate to welfare surveillance. We are a reliable and stable employer; staff well-being is central. Prior experience as a surveillance veterinarian is advantageous. Salary follows the KVTES agreement; base salary 5860.12 €/month; additional pay based on experience and a personal allowance after 6 months.
