Join us in building high-quality, community-based basic education. Kajaani City is seeking a full-time substitute teacher for Finnish language and literature in Otanmäen School for a fixed-term period from 7 September 2026 to 5 June 2027. The role includes also S2 and home economics teaching (6 hours). We value collaboration with colleagues and strong interpersonal skills. Otanmäen School is about 100 pupils, located in a calm environment; we provide a safe and encouraging atmosphere, orientation, and collegial support. Salary follows OVTEs; the salary unit for a qualified grade 7–9 substitute teacher is 3294.02 €. Qualifications in Finnish language and literature teaching (teacher qualifications requirements, Decree 986/1998) apply; certificates will be checked during interviews. If suitable candidates are lacking, other applicants are considered. Interviews begin during the application period.
