About the role

About us\nPliant is a European fintech specializing in B2B payment solutions. Our modular, API-first platform helps businesses streamline spending, improve cash flow, and integrate payments into their financial workflows. Designed for industries with complex payment needs, such as travel and fleet, Pliant enables greater efficiency, control, and profitability.\nWe serve two primary customer segments:\nCompanies looking to optimize operational processes through intuitive apps and APIs, gaining control, automation, and financial flexibility through extended credit lines\nBusinesses such as financial software platforms, ERP providers, and banks that want to launch or enhance their credit card offerings using Pliant's embedded finance and white-label solutions\nFounded in 2020 and headquartered in Berlin, Pliant supports over 4,000 businesses and more than 20 partners globally. As a licensed e-money institution (EMI), we issue credit cards in 11 currencies across more than 30 countries, helping companies streamline and simplify payments.\nLearn more at www.getpliant.com\nAbout the role\nMember Management is the trust layer of Pliant. The team owns identity, authentication, access and permissions, the full member lifecycle, and the multi-region tenant structure underneath it all. As Pliant moves up-market and works with banks and larger partners, this area becomes increasingly important: security reviews and vendor assessments depend heavily on how well we handle identity and access.\nAs (Senior) Product Manager - Member Management, you will own how members - and increasingly AI agents - access Pliant. Your scope covers authentication (passkeys, eIDs, enterprise IDPs, SSO), the permissions model, the joiner-mover-leaver lifecycle, and multi-tenant, multi-region identity for partners and banks. The main challenge is combining bank-grade security with an access experience that stays simple for members.\nThis is a hands-on, platform-heavy role for someone who enjoys structuring ambiguous problems, working closely with engineers on identity topics, and building capabilities that other teams at Pliant rely on.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy, roadmap, and execution for Member Management: identity, authentication, access and permissions, the member lifecycle, and tenant management
  • Advance passwordless, adaptive authentication (passkeys, eIDs, enterprise IDPs, SSO) and step-up verification for sensitive actions
  • Build multi-tenant, multi-region identity that lets partners and banks launch quickly and lets members move easily between tenants and organizations
  • Automate the member lifecycle end to end: HRIS sync plus just-in-time provisioning, so joiners, movers, and leavers always have the right access
  • Work with Security, Compliance, and Engineering to meet the authentication, access-control, resilience, and audit bar that banks and regulated institutions require
  • Design the permissions and entitlements model that other Pliant domains build on
  • Prepare the platform for AI agents as governed members: verifiable identity, scoped permissions and limits, and a full audit trail

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product management or a related role, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, identity/security, or platform-heavy environments
  • Experience with identity and access - authentication, SSO and IDPs, permissions and RBAC, provisioning - or a strong interest in getting deep into the domain
  • Strong technical fluency: comfortable discussing auth flows, multi-tenancy, integrations, and system-design trade-offs with engineers
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, create structure, and make sound decisions without perfect information
  • Familiarity with fintech trust and compliance requirements (e.g. PSD2) is a strong plus
  • Experience coordinating with large partner banks or other enterprise stakeholders - aligning requirements and timelines and keeping delivery on track across organizations
  • High ownership, bias for action, and clear cross-functional communication
  • Fluent English; other languages are a plus
