Practical Nurse

A permanent practical nurse position is opening in the Levänen home-care service in Kuopio, serving older people in their homes. Work starts on 30 November 2026 or flexibly by agreement. Who are we? Our home-care teams at Pohjois-Savo Wellbeing Services County include skilled, multidisciplinary colleagues. Through our work, we support clients in different life situations, including with technology such as remote care, medication dispensing machines and mobile documentation. We do important and genuinely meaningful work that has a significant impact on clients’ ability to manage everyday life. What do we offer you? The eligibility requirement is a vocational qualification in social and health care or another equivalent earlier qualification (Act on Social Welfare Professionals 817/2015, section 3; Act on Health Care Professionals 559/1994, section 2), as well as registration in the register of social welfare and health care professionals maintained by the Finnish Supervisory Agency. Experience in elderly care and good teamwork skills are considered an advantage. Other information: - We comply with section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and recommend that all employees working with clients have the statutory vaccination protection. - The person selected for employment in home care will be asked to present a drug-test certificate. - The selected person must present the criminal-record extract referred to in section 6(2) of the Criminal Records Act. - Medication permits must be completed no later than the start of employment. - A B-category driving licence is required for the position. - The appointment includes a six-month probationary period.
