
Project Budgeting Analyst

The Project Budgeting Analyst will be responsible for the following functions: I. Ensures the implementation of resource management strategies and adapts processes and procedures focusing on achievement of the following results: Full compliance with UNDP rules, regulations, policies, and strategies, recordkeeping/reporting system, and implementation of effective internal controls, ensuring proper functioning of a customer-oriented resource administration system; II. Ensure the management of projects budgets of the optimal cost recovery system focusing on achievement of the following results: Finalization of the budgetary sections of the update of the progress report and the disbursement request, along with preparation of quarterly and biannual forecasts of cash flows and annual cash flows; III. Ensures proper control of project accounts focusing on achievement of the following results: Ensure analysis and development of proposals for the internal expenditure control system ensuring that the supporting documents processed are matched and completed, that the transactions are correctly recorded and displayed in Quantum; IV. Ensures proper projects cash management focusing on achievement of the following results: Timely review of cash accounts to ensure availability of sufficient funds for implementation and appropriate disbursements; V. Ensures capacity building and knowledge sharing on resource management matters focusing on achievement of the following results: Capacity building of implementing partners on overall resource administration; The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Public Management, Business Administration or other relevant field is required, or a first-level university degree with two years of qualifying experience.
