Healthcare Assistant

We are hiring a part-time (50%) Lähihoitaja for the Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialue (Central Ostrobothnia hospital district) for the period 14.9.2026 – 31.8.2027. Initial placement is in home care, southern area 3, Helsingby-Sulva-Sundom. Do you enjoy independent work with the elderly while also valuing support from a skilled multi-professional team? If yes, you may be the Lähihoitaja we are looking for. The aim of home care is to support the client’s functional capacity and life management so that living at home is possible for as long as possible. We expect good cooperation and communication skills, flexibility, and a desire to provide high-quality, client-oriented care. Work is carried out in a multi-professional team in cooperation with relatives, with a rehabilitation-oriented approach. The tasks require a driving licence and access to a personal car. Eligibility: Lähihoitajan tutkinto or a degree under the regulation for health care professionals or the government decree on social care professionals. Sufficient oral and written skills in both national languages. Lähihoitajatutkinnon graduates are required to be registered in both professional registers, Terhikki and Suosikki. The selected candidate must have valid vaccination protection under the Communicable Diseases Act §48 (1227/2016) and present a criminal record extract as required by the Crimina lRegister Act §6(2). A trial period applies.
