The job at the prison kitchen is socially important: regular meal rhythm, warm food, and fresh ingredients form the basis of a healthy life. You and your colleagues in the Naarajärvi prison kitchen support prisoners' healthier lifestyles and promote a calm working environment for guards. As a shift supervisor, you assist the restaurant manager in ensuring that the kitchen's daily operations are smooth, economically sustainable, and that the food is healthy and tasty. The prison kitchen plays a clear role in maintaining the daily rhythm of the prison. Good personnel management is close to your heart, and with your example, you guide activities according to values. The prison has a line service, offering 3-4 meals a day to inmates and lunch to staff. You will ensure the team operates according to the Lion model, handle food ordering, shift planning, and monitor key restaurant metrics. You will also participate in daily kitchen activities. The work is predictable, with stable customer numbers and repetitive tasks, but there are additional challenges through network activities. Working hours are Mon-Fri 8-17, with occasional weekend shifts from 7-15.30. You will be thoroughly inducted with a comprehensive training program, supported by the #wecooktogether value, and you will have access to a broad network across Finland.
