Forward Deployed Engineer

The Forward Deployed Engineer is part of RELEX’s central engineering team supporting the US Merchandising business. The role involves writing production code and building production models that run in live customer environments, co-developing forecast and optimization improvements with customers, and ensuring solutions are robust in production on a weekly cadence. You will own technical delivery end-to-end from discovery through go-live, including configuration, extensions, integrations, and delivering high-quality code and models that meet customer needs. You will prove the value of deployments by instrumenting them, measuring outcomes against the customer baseline, and presenting evidence to operational users and executives. You will manage the technical customer relationship, learn their operations deeply, and challenge requirements when needed. You will feed the product by capturing gaps and use cases from the field and prototyping solutions that could graduate into the RELEX roadmap. You will build customer self-sufficiency through knowledge transfer and clean handovers, so customers can operate and extend RELEX without ongoing assistance. You will grow the account by surfacing adjacent use cases, new sites, and unused capabilities, and shaping the technical solution with pre-sales and the account team. You will support commercial activity with feasibility assessments, proofs of concept and technical demos. You will bring experience designing and building scalable data pipelines for large-scale production data processing, strong data modeling and observability, and experience integrating downstream or customer-facing systems. You will have cloud platform experience and a business sense to translate technical work into measurable impact, and you should be comfortable traveling and working on-site at customer locations for parts of engagements. Fluency in English is required; candidates must be based in the USA with a valid work permit.
