Nordea Group Technology is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with deep AWS experience to join the Cloud Platform Team. You will own and develop the AWS Landing Zone, building new capabilities and maintaining the existing platform. Responsibilities include IaC with Terraform, configuration management with Ansible, automation with Python and Bash, building reusable Landing Zone solutions, designing CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to architecture documentation. You will work with multi-account networking (VPCs, subnets, Transit Gateway), Direct Connect, and Site-to-Site VPN, applying zero trust principles, and setting governance guardrails to stay compliant with banking security standards. You will lead P1/P2 incident responses and help improve processes. Hybrid work in Gdańsk/Warszawa/Helsinki/Gdynia is available.

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the AWS Landing Zone
- Develop new features and maintain the platform
- Build and maintain Landing Zone infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Handle configuration management with Ansible
- Write automation in Python and Bash for provisioning and operations
- Design reusable Landing Zone solutions for fast adoption by app teams
- Design and run CI/CD pipelines for Landing Zone changes
- Contribute to architecture documentation
- Maintain automation, reduce manual work
- Oversee multi-account networking and connectivity
- Apply zero-trust access principles
- Set governance guardrails and banking-security-aligned policies
- Develop observability dashboards and monitoring
- Lead P1/P2 incident response and post-incident improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with AWS at enterprise scale
- Practical experience designing and running an AWS Landing Zone, ideally using Control Tower or Landing Zone Accelerator
- Strong Terraform for infrastructure as code, and Ansible for configuration and automation
- Python and Bash programming experience
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect) and connecting to on-premises networks
