Role Purpose Oxford Instruments is seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Sales Manager to establish and lead its Material Analysis business presence in Thailand while supporting selected countries within Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strategic customer relationships, expanding market share, and positioning Oxford Instruments as the preferred partner for advanced materials characterization and analytical solutions. The role requires an experienced sales professional with strong technical credibility, an in-depth understanding of the Thailand scientific and industrial market, and the ability to engage effectively with customers in semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, research institutions, universities, and government laboratories. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Thailand and assigned Southeast Asia territories. Achieve and exceed annual sales revenue, profit, and growth targets across the Material Analysis portfolio. Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within semiconductor, electronics, advanced materials, automotive, aerospace, and research sectors. Build a sustainable pipeline of opportunities and maintain accurate sales forecasting through CRM systems. Key Account Management Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, technical stakeholders, procurement teams, and executive management within key customer accounts. Develop strategic account plans to drive long-term growth and increase customer retention. Support major projects, tenders, and capital equipment procurement activities. Channel & Partner Management Manage and support OEM partners, distributors, and channel partners across assigned territories. Conduct regular partner reviews, performance monitoring, technical training, and business planning sessions. Strengthen partner capabilities to maximize market coverage and revenue generation. Market Development Develop a deep understanding of market trends, competitive activities, customer requirements, and emerging technologies within Thailand and Southeast Asia. Provide regular market intelligence and strategic recommendations to regional management. Represent Oxford Instruments at conferences, technical workshops, exhibitions, seminars, and industry events. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with regional sales, applications, service, marketing, and product management teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Ensure effective transition from sales to installation, customer support, and after-sales service. Experience Requirements Essential Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience in scientific instrumentation, analytical equipment, capital equipment, semiconductor solutions, materials characterization systems, or related high-technology industries. Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets within Thailand and/or Southeast Asia markets. Proven experience in business development, territory management, strategic account management, and opportunity qualification. Experience managing distributors, OEM partners, and indirect sales channels. Strong understanding of customer buying processes, tender management, and capital equipment sales cycles. Preferred More than 8 years of experience in advanced scientific instrumentation or materials analysis solutions. Established customer network within Thailand's semiconductor, electronics, research, manufacturing, and academic sectors. Experience working in a multinational matrix organization. Education & Qualifications Essential Degree or PhD in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Semiconductor Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. Strong technical foundation enabling engagement with researchers, engineers, scientists, and senior technical stakeholders. Preferred MBA or other business qualification. Formal sales or commercial management training. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of one or more of the following technologies is highly desirable: SEM, TEM, FIB, EDS / EBSD / WDS, Raman Spectroscopy, AFM, Nanoindentation, X-Ray Analytical Techniques, Materials Characterization Solutions. Ideal Candidate Profile A commercially successful Degree or PhD-qualified sales professional with 5+ years of experience selling advanced scientific instrumentation into the Thailand market; strong network within semiconductor, research, university, and advanced manufacturing sectors; capable of independently driving business growth across Thailand and SE Asia.
