Industrial Machinery Mechanic

Would you like to work with demanding production equipment as part of the maintenance professional team in a steel foundry? We are hiring machine fitters for Tornio steel foundry for permanent daytime shifts at the Tornio plants. The foundry consists of two production lines, with main processes including a electric arc furnace, AOD, CRK, senkka station, continuous casting machine and a mill. Our main products are austenitic and ferritic ingots. As a fitter you will be part of the mechanical maintenance team whose task is to ensure safe and uninterrupted operation of the production equipment. You will engage in a variety of maintenance, installation and fault-finding tasks in a demanding process industry environment and have the opportunity to develop your skills with the equipment of a large industrial facility. In your role you will be part of the maintenance team and ensure trouble-free operation of the production lines, take part in mechanical maintenance of machines and process equipment on the lines, participate in fault-finding, repair and preventive maintenance tasks, collaborate with production and other maintenance professionals, and promote a safe working environment with your own actions.
