Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated early childhood education teacher to join our team at Kivistön day care, part of Vantaa City’s Education and Learning Department. The daycare houses four groups for children aged 1–5 years and features a large forest yard. Our newly renovated bright interiors enable diverse activities, and we make use of the large hall at Maitopart for gym sessions as well as nearby playgrounds and forest areas. We are a professional, participatory and dynamic workplace. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of early childhood education and your own work; experimentation and collaboration are characteristic of us. In a multidisciplinary team you will receive support for your work from colleagues, broad-special education teachers, a development unit and managers alike. The unit structures support pedagogical leadership for groups and the unit. We are part of the ProVaka model, which is based on guiding behavior with positive reinforcement. In the model, adults set an example for children and the operating culture supports inclusive environments and fosters social skills with consistent guidance practices.
