About the role

Responsibilities Define the AIT architecture, test flows and verification strategies for constellation-scale satellite production. Drive design-for-AIT and design-for-robotics principles into system and subsystem development. Ensure mechanical and electrical interface compatibility to enable efficient and automated integration processes. Develop and enable robotic manufacturing and integration capabilities, including alignment, fastening, mating and verification processes. Lead system integration and test campaigns, including functional and environmental testing. Develop and maintain AIT plans, procedures and verification documentation. Define integration and verification approaches that improve efficiency, repeatability and scalability across spacecraft production. Ensure compliance with applicable ECSS standards and internal quality processes. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across System Engineering, Production and Quality Assurance. Identify integration risks, technical bottlenecks and opportunities for automation, driving practical solutions through to implementation. Support the development and scaling of AIT capabilities as ReOrbit moves towards constellation-level production.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in satellite AIT, systems engineering or integration leadership.
  • Proven experience leading full satellite integration campaigns from assembly through verification and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical integration processes.
  • Experience with environmental testing, including TVAC, vibration and EMC.
  • Familiarity with ECSS and/or NASA standards and associated quality and verification processes.
  • Experience working with EGSE, MGSE and spacecraft test systems.
  • Strong understanding of production scaling, repeatability and automation principles.
  • Leadership experience managing and coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • A strong systems engineering mindset with the ability to connect mechanical, electrical and software domains.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering and production environments.
