This vacancy combines clinical nursing, supervisory responsibilities, and involvement in organizational development. The assistant head nurse on the Meilahdi acute care unit leads daily operations, develops nursing practices in close collaboration with unit heads and fellow assistant heads, coordinates unit activities, supports staff competence development, and ensures sufficient expertise. The role includes participation in clinical nursing and a shift pattern that is rotation-based, primarily daytime on weekdays. The position is part of HUS and aims to advance leadership; the holder should foster trust and promote well-being in the workplace. The Meilahti intensive care unit consists of five modules with 50 beds and three modules with dedicated supervisors and educators. After orientation, there is opportunity for further professional training.
