Special Education Teacher

A bilingual (Finnish and English) early childhood education specialist teacher is sought to join Y.E.S. Päiväkoti in Vantaa. The unit is an 8-group day care with two preschool groups and up to 154 children, aligned with Vantaa International School. The role entails assessing children’s support needs, planning and implementing support, and evaluating outcomes in collaboration with other staff. You will contribute to developing an inclusive culture in the unit, participate in planning and evaluation processes, and work closely with the principal and external partners in child and family services. Requirements include strong special education expertise, a positive, encouraging team spirit, and excellent Finnish written and spoken skills. We use the ProVaka program to support social skills development. The position is full-time with a 6-month probationary period and a permanent contract. Salary is 3593.77–3751.06 EUR per month, with additional allowances for qualifications (15 EUR/month for a regular special education teacher qualification; 37.88 EUR/month for a master’s in education) and experience-based increments of 3–8%.
