Communications Coordinator

Viral Vegans seeks a freelance Communications Coordinator to support the organization's communications, fundraising, and day-to-day coordination. The role sits as a key member of a small, ambitious communications team and offers a mix of practical logistics work and AI-tool related tasks. The position is particularly suited to a candidate excited about applying AI and automation in practical work. You will work on: preparing communication materials, grant applications, and press releases; supporting the communications lead with daily tasks including email and meeting preparation; building and maintaining AI agents and automation for everyday work; occasional administrative or bureaucratic tasks such as assisting with reporting. To succeed you should have experience in communications, sales, or lobbying or related roles, strong AI tool and agent proficiency with rapid learning of new AI knowledge (e.g., Claude Code/Co-Work, OpenAI Codex), an organized and meticulous work style with ability to manage multiple tasks; excellent communication and interpersonal skills including willingness to cold call; genuine interest and knowledge of animal rights and plant-based food systems; excellent Finnish and English speaking and writing skills, with Swedish knowledge considered a plus; proactive and self-driven work attitude and strong collaboration. The team works in a small, fast-paced setting where initiative and ability to work under deadlines are valued. Location: Helsinki, Finland. Remote work possible part-time. Employment type: freelance/contract. Project-based pay: 3,450€ + VAT per month. Working hours: negotiable, starting from 37.5 h/week.
