Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a substitute for a nurse assistant for the Western Finland Hospital District (Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialue) for the period 14 September 2026 to 13 August 2027, with initial placement at the home rehabilitation support in Pietarsaari. Home rehabilitation support is rehabilitative care conducted in the client’s home after a hospital stay. The aim of the support is for the client to recover and empower themselves so that they can continue independent daily life despite illness. The team consists of registered nurses and nurses as well as occupational and physical therapists. Doctors’ support is available to the team as well. In your work you are responsible for the client’s holistic care, its planning and implementation in cooperation with your team and other partners. The work is varied and responsible. It requires good interaction and cooperation skills. The work is two-shift work, morning and evening shifts. Having your own car is an advantage. We value a customer-oriented and rehabilitative approach and the ability to make independent decisions. We hope you have a desire to develop your own work. Requirements: A Lähihoitajan qualification (vocational college) or a degree in accordance with the Decree on health care professionals (564/1994) or the Government Decree on social care professionals (153/2016). Proficient oral and written skills in both national languages of Finland. The successful applicant must have valid vaccination protection under section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016) and must present a police criminal record extract as described in section 6(2) of the Criminal Records Act. Trial period applies.
