Class Teacher

The City of Vantaa is seeking a Class Teacher to serve as a music class teacher at Martinlaakso School. Martinlaakso School is a comprehensive school for grades 1-9 with approximately 1,000 students and 130 staff members, operating in a modern facility with up-to-date teaching equipment. The school aims to be pedagogically unified, where class teaching and subject teaching are closely integrated to provide students with a seamless educational path. The role involves planning and implementing teaching that accommodates learners of different levels using diverse methods. The teacher must be committed to the ProKoulu operating model, which focuses on guiding student behavior through positive feedback. Key requirements include multicultural sensitivity, the ability to support students from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds (including S2 needs), and strong interaction skills to build trust with students and guardians. The teacher is expected to support students holistically and participate in the school's community models. As an advantage, the candidate should be willing to teach music to lower grades in addition to their own teaching group.
