We are seeking machine assemblers for a customer in shipbuilding, initially on fixed-term contracts. As a machine assembler, your task is to guide quality-focused and planned shipbuilding. You will broadly handle tasks related to installations on different areas of the vessel, collaborating with partners during commissioning of various ship projects. You will also ensure safety in your area of responsibility. Work is primarily on land-based shipbuilding, with opportunities for family-friendly posting. Work locations include Turku, Uusikaupunki and Rauma. Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed. There is potential to move to the client’s crew later. Your education could be for example pipe fitter, machine assembler, watch captain, machine operator or sheet metal welder. The main point is that you know the tools and have experience with machine installation. We value willingness to take on new challenges, teamwork and initiative. Previous experience in installations or shipboard machine assembly is preferred; experience in shipboard machine installation is a big plus but not mandatory if you have other installation experience. If you meet the following, you may be the person we’re looking for: several years of relevant experience, a valid occupational safety card, good Finnish language skills (the common language of supervision is Finnish), high work ethics, independence and accountability for your own work, and good social skills to interact with people even in stressful situations.
