Are you looking to be an important part of a daycare's smooth everyday life and children's well-being? We are seeking someone for kitchen and cleaning duties who wants to contribute to a functional, safe and pleasant daily life at a daycare. The role combines food service, cleaning and working with a group of children. You will help ensure smooth and safe everyday life through your own work, collaborating closely with other staff and being a vital part of daily routines. The job includes responsibilities in nutrition and meal preparation, cleaning and hygiene, and supporting children's learning and daily transitions. The position is temporary, with working hours from 9:00 to 14:00, until 17.12.2026. We offer a supportive and respectful work community with good benefits.
Job Details
Responsibilities
- Organise daily meals (lunch and snacks)
- Ensure temperatures, self-inspection and preparation
- Implement special diets as instructed
- Manage dishwashing and cleaning of spaces
- Collaborate with group supervisor and cleaning staff
- Participate in feeding education development
- Maintain day-to-day cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen
- Minimise food waste
- Support children's group activities and transitions
- Promote safety and positive atmosphere in small groups
Requirements
- Restaurant hospitality or child care training
- Cleaning training is a plus
- Hygiene certificate
- Salmonella certificate
- Experience in similar roles with special diets
- Ability to work independently
- Finnish language proficiency
- Criminal background check for working with children (504/2002)
